rick was in to get some finishing touches added to his peacock sleeve, it’s a bold and bright piece!  😀

and Lindsay got her back piece started, we are covering up a small red devil, and the horse tattoo at the bottom will be fixed at a later date
Today we did the filigree work and outlined the roses, apart from the cover up rose, which also got some basic shading
the whole piece will be in black and grey

mark hadnt been in for a while, he had to cancel a couple of his appointments, but today we had some time, and we finished the background shading. For now- I always like to add some bits to the shading at a later stage.

and steven had a couple of hours to add some colour to his phoenix. there will be more detailling in the tail feathers and the geisha.
sorry about the bad photos

We are pretty much done with Rick’s peacock sleeve, one more quick finishing session to tie up any lose ends, and we are done.  😀

Harley had a large gap still in his sleeve design, and we thought a Foo would go nicely, one with a cub (that makes her a female). The foo cub has a bad attitude, it must get it from the mother! These aren’t your little cutesy foos..
hard to get a photo of the whole thing, but if you see harley around somewhere, feel free to grab his arm and have a good look. Tell him I said it was cool 🙂

Emma got her phoenix finished!

and Steve got more of his freeform patternwork, we are still putting colour in the bits that need it most, i.e. the cover up bits

I went to the London tattoo convention on sunday and had a couple of days down in the big smoke, while i was at it.

here are some photos of tattoo celebrities for all you tv show addicts out there- don’t say I’m not good to you  😀

Tim Hendricks

Dan Smith

The other bloke from Miami Ink

Chris garver

The day after the convention I went to the British museum with some friends

and made it my mission to photograph Chinese and Japanese lions and foo dogs, some early ones, some hard to make out ones, some angry ones… there are a lot! here’s my favourites

I’m off most of this week, and saturday’s blog will be included in next weeks one, so au revoir til next week!

we’ve finished Alex’s sea life sleeve  😀
Sea life isn’t particularly accurate, as there’s a peacock and a butterfly in there, too, but we tend to give projects names that have a habit of sticking, regardless of their accuracy..

I’ll get better photos once it’s all healed hopefully, Alex has said he’ll be down for the tattoo convention in March.
spot the two wee terrapins!

and Joanne got her Fred Astair and Ginger Roberts tattoo finished, it didn’t need much more, but i wanted to see it healed, and of course couldn’t not tinker with it, seeing as she was in

the next day was weegieland day, and paul came in to get another bit of his tattoo done, the last time he was in was last year in summer  😆
better late than never! Glad to get closer to finishing this piece, it would be a shame to leave it unfinished for much longer.
For those of you with unfinished tattoos: get booked in! It looks so much better filled in!

I asked paul to cover the upper part of his tattoo, it wasn’t by me and will require some lasering at a later date, we’re in the process of salvaging the piece

and the last customer of the day was John, a couple more hours on his soon to be backpiece under our belts now
