ok, I’m going to not post something that I did again, another fixer-upper! Again, the end result wasn’t something I’d consider to be representative of my work, so I don’t think there’s a place for it here.
The problem with continuing another artist’s work, specially if it’s bad, is that you have to make the decision whether it’s possible to cover up what’s started, or to continue it. If it’s past covering up and you have to continue with what’s been started, do you continue in the way it’s been started even though that might be clumsy/amateurish or whatever to retain some sort of continuity? Or do you change tack and add another style to it? In any case, it’s full of compromises. best get it done right in the first place!

but after that piece I had fun with a freehand octopus  😀
The octopus is a great design, you can bend the tentacles any way you want to fit any part of the body, in this case we had him sitting on the top of the shoulder.
Just the lines and some of the basic shading so far, but he’s taking shape.
This is a difficult one to photograph, his main attraction is that he moves with the shoulder of course, hard to capture!

saturday I worked a half day, due to some booking chaos, but i used the time off to go up town and get some shopping in, not too bad  😀

Justine got some more ivy and some bluebells and forget-me-nots added to her piece, we are slowly working our way up her back  😀
